What you already know

  • Conducting
    - Calling bobs & singles
    - Keeping people right
  • Need to see how people are working with each other, & with you
  • Relatively small transition
    - How you work with others
    - How others work with you

Basic ideas

Guidance on touches you can use

  • Know when (in relation to the lead end) to make call
  • Keep track of where you are in the touch
  • Know what at least some others are doing
Plus lots of other hints & tips

...For those that want to go further, particularly on larger numbers of bells



Practical Sessions

Practical Sessions are available at the eight bell tower of St Mary, Swaffham Bulbeck and the six at St Cyriac and St Julitta, Swaffham Prior.

  • What you want them to be (no quarters!)
    - Exercises to see what others are doing
    - Putting calls in the right place
    - Try out some of the touches presented earlier
    - Try out a touch with someone primed to say 'Help! I'm lost'
       (with or without actually going haywire)
    - Try to see &/or use siomple coursing order.
