- Eco-Schools is a European environmental award programme for schools, it is run by ENCAMS in the UK. Currently operating in 23 countries throughout Europe the Eco-Schools scheme guides schools through a programme to involve pupils in decision making regarding the environmental management of the school. Schools taking part in Eco-Schools set up a committee to take action forward, and are expected to tackle a range of environmental improvements according to their priorities.
