This competition links in with the Good Childhood report and campaign which is being run by the Children’s Society, in which the Diocese is a leading player, and in response to the Bailey Report 'Letting Children be Children' which highlighted the way in which kids’ garmentscan carry inappropriate slogans and images. Sexualised and gender-stereotyped clothing, products and services for children are the biggest areas of concern for parents.

Messy Church

If you have any queries about any aspect of Messy Church do ask Julia Chamberlin

Or our local Messy Church Regional Adviser for Cambridgeshire – Eleanor Williams.

The Resource Centre is packed with craft ideas, games and resource books, including all the lATEST Messy Church Resources from BRF

Open the Book

What is OPEN THE BOOK?

It is an excellent way for churches to become actively involved in their local primary schools through lively and engaging presentations of Bible stories.

How does it work?

Open the Book effectively uses drama, simple props and costumes, following a programme of themed and dramatised 10 minute Bible stories, designed to suit assemblies.

All materials are written by experienced educators, with fully scripted sessions, so that preparation involves style, rather than content.A reflection and short prayer are also included.

What next?

If your church or your school would like to train a team, ideally teams need to be 4-6 people, or would like more information please contact Julia or go directly to Open the Book.
