Teaching about the Church - People and Places

This is a collection of medium term RE schemes on the theme of the Church (people and place). They are PDF files. The materials were originally delivered to RE Liaison Groups in the Diocese of Ely in the Spring of 2005.

The Index below is laid out in the same order as the original booklet which looked at four huge questions:

1. Where do you go to find out about the Church?
2. Why does the Church exist at all?
3. What happens in a church building?
4. Who are the Church?

And answered them in a variety of ways appropriate for Key Stages One and Two. The Where? Why? What? and Who? index pages give summaries of the contents of each set of units. Support materials listed in the index follow the unit in which they are designed to be used, they are marked with a *.
