At this time of year, thousands of young people are happily settling into university life, looking confidently towards their future. All that they have worked for during the past years of schooling is coming to fruition.
Imagine the frustration of working hard over the years, gaining good grades, being desperate to do a job that will serve your community, and yet being unable to fund your studies in any way. For some of the poorest, yet most able, students across the diocese of Vellore, this is a reality.
Students at the Teacher Training Institute and the School of Nursing have to fund their own studies. With no grants or student loans, many have to give up their vision of serving their people, because they cannot pay the fees.

Can you help to light a candle in the lives of these young people, and ultimately, in the lives of all those they will serve?
