Church Youth Group Initiative

How does it work?

We will visit your church, PCC or parish meeting and identify your aims and objectives for the new project. Then the church and youth officer will draw up an appropriate action plan and identify potential leaders. David will, if requested, lead the group for ten sessions and provide any on-site training required. After these initial meetings, David will continue to offer suitable resources for the group when the new leaders take over. He will also, on request, visit the club from time to time.

What are the things we, as a church, should bear in mind or need before beginning the new group?

This would depend on the type of project. Clergy and potential leaders can download a Word document (below) that contains many of the needs/requirements of these projects. There is also a draft membership/parental permission form available on this page. It would be helpful if these documents could be considered by the church before before the meeting attended by the Youth Officer.

How much will it cost?

The local church would meet the overall running costs of their own project. There will be no expenses incurred for David's visits because a small fraction of the parish share helps to pay for this initiative..
