Gift Aid
If you would like to make a donation to your parish church or to the diocese, you can give through Gift Aid.
Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, the Church will receive an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further.
This means that £10 can be turned into £12.80 and £100 can be turned into £128 – just so long as donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make, and it doesn’t cost you a thing.
To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount the Church will claim in the tax year.
If you have any more questions, from the Gift Aid help guide you can get details from our
Gift Aid Support Officer.
You will find a model Gift Aid declaration form that can be used when you want to donate. Simply complete the form (remembering to insert the name of your parish church or the Diocese of Ely) and send it along with your donation.
