Vocations and young people
Vocations work with children, young people and students
You can never be too young for God to call you!
In fact, lots of people who later go on to some form of ministry in the Church can trace their earliest sense of calling back to their childhood or teenage years.
The Church wants young people, and there is a lot of work going on nationally at the moment to encourage young people to think about full-time Christian ministry.
If you are a young person who is wondering whether God might be calling to you to such a ministry, then you might like to talk to a member of the Vocations Team
Or visit the national Church of England vocations website
If you are a student in the Cambridge area, you might like to join the Universities’ Vocations Group which meets regularly during term time. For more information, contact:
If you are a youth leader or minister/incumbent, you might like to look at some of the resources available on this site that have been specifically designed for vocations work with young people. There are also training events for youth leaders which you might find helpful.
Here's what some young people said about their vocation at a recent conference.
