UNDERSTANDING YOUNG VOCATIONS

A study day reflecting on the phenomenon of 'young vocation' to ordained ministry.

What attracts young people to ordination?
What factors might prevent people from pursuing a vocation?
What can the church do to ensure that all those who feel God's call - at whatever age - are supported and encouraged in their journey of discernment?

Invitations to the study day itself have already been issued, but there is still time to take part in this important research by filling in a questionnaire about your own experience of vocation to ordained ministry - please make sure you return your questionnaire by the end of November 2006 so that the results can be analysed in advance of the study day. Completed questionnaires should be emailed to jeff.astley@durham.ac.uk (please put 'Young Vocations Project' in the subject box) or sent by post to:
