Media tips

Does the thought of writing a press release throw you into disarray? Do you dread the day a local journalist phones you to say they’re publishing a story about your church and they want a comment? Would you rather decline the opportunity of a radio interview for fear of making a fool of yourself?

Fear no more! This section of our website is aimed at helping you to get good press coverage and positive media attention for your parish or project here in the diocese.

It’s well worth getting to know one or two local journalists with whom you can build up a good working relationship. You will often find the media is a helpful ally.
