Mothers' Union Service

The Diocesan Mothers' Union held their Commissioning Service for the next Triennium in Ely Cathedral on April 17th. The sermon was preached by the Rt Revd David Thomson, Bishop of Huntingdon, and branch banners were carried in procession at the end of the service. The Mothers' Union Diocesan banner was carried by a member from St Mary's, March whose branch banner was destroyed in the recent fire at the church.
Garden Party
The Mother's Union are holding an evening garden party on Wednesday 30th June, 6.30pm to 8.30pm in the garden of the Bishop's House at which the work of Mother's Union worldwide will be celebrated, and also marking the 10th anniversary of the Literacy and Development Programme and the Parenting programme.

Central appeal for funds
The central Mothers' Union has launched an appeal for funds to maintain the travelling expenses of trainers and facilitators worldwide and are seeking sponsorship for a team from Mary Sumner House who hope to climb Mt Kilimanjaro in June.
