We welcome Paul Tomlinson as our preacher.  ‘Making Jesus famous'.  Seven out of ten people in this country have little or no contact with the Church.  It’s time to act!’ Giving envelopes are available for you to take.

**DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH ** Tomorrow, Monday 23 November, 10 – 4pm, 7..30 – 9pm.  We need to pray TOGETHER to the Lord to meet our needs and bless our opportunities: a Worship Leader at 11am, pastoral contacts for ‘Brampton Befrienders’, our Advent and Christmas services.  Come for quiet in Church during the day if you can, but please anyway set aside some time on this day to pray.  The evening meeting will be for worship & prayer together.
Why should we pray when God already knows what we need?  Remember what Jesus said:  Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full! (John 16:24).  The Lord tells us to pray (because he is God and wants to share himself with us), he promises to answer (because he loves to give to us) and so he is glorified and we experience great JOY!

Fundraising Ceilidh! (Scottish Country Dancing). Saturday 21st November at Huntingdon Methodist Church, 7.30 – 10.30pm.  Adult £8.00, child/student/OAP £6.00, family (2 adults and 2 children) £22.00. Included in ticket price is a light ploughman's supper.  All funds raised go to helping youth from the Methodist Church to go to Spring Harvest.  Tickets from Steph Pedlar [Don’t worry.. they show you how to do the dances.  It’s fun!]

Quiet Day in Church for Advent.  What are you doing this Saturday 28th November?  Can Christmas shopping be postponed till December?  Come along to the Quiet Day for Advent, in Church from 10 – 4pm.  It’s good to set aside some time to hear short talks on prayer, then have opportunity to reflect in prayer to God.  See the leaflet given out in Church.

Operation Christmas Child.  44 boxes have been sent.

Huntingdon Methodist Church will be showing the important climate-change film, ‘The Age of Stupid’ on Friday 27 November at 7pm.

PRAYING WITH CHURCH MISSION SOCIETY

Bishop Enoch and Mrs Phoebe Kayeeye are visiting some friends in St Brelade’s Church in Jersey.  Pray for refreshment, as Enoch’s diocese, North Kivu, Congo, has huge needs.

Peter and Alison Roots are now safely back in Dodoma, Tanzania.  Peter still needs to take rest following chemotherapy in UK, and will gradually work his way to full time at the hospital.  Alison is teaching again in Canon Andrea Mwaka International School.  Tanzania has had failed rains, and poor harvests in many areas, with dreadful consequences for many poor subsistence farmers.
