This is the weekly pattern of services and events in the parish.
Sunday |
9:45 a.m: Family Service at St
Martin's with Sunday School (except during the school
summer holidays).
Sunday School is part of the family worship on Sunday mornings. Members join in the main service before leaving to learn about the Christian faith in a group which is appropriate to their age. Under 3's can be taken to the church office, which is soundproof, and it is possible to see the service through a large window and hear it via a sound relay. There is also a carpeted Children's Corner with toys and other resources. 11:15 a.m: Family Service at St Thomas's
6:30 p.m: 'Going Deeper' Evening Service at St Martin's:
7:30 - 9:00 p.m: 'Out of the Mud' youth group at St Martin's. |
Monday |
7:30 or 8:00 p.m: some 'D Groups'
(Discipleship Groups) meet in homes.
7:30 - 9:00 p.m: 'Out of the Mud' youth group at St Martin's. |
Tuesday |
9:30-11:00 a.m: Nippers at St Thomas's, a group for under-threes and their carers 7:30 or 8:00 p.m: Business Meetings (e.g. PCC, 'D group' leaders) are normally on a Tuesday evening. |
Wednesday |
7:00 p.m: Alpha Course run jointly with St Philip's and Mill Road Baptist Church (anyone interested should contact the clergy). 7:30 or 8:00 p.m: some 'D Groups' meet in homes. |
Thursday |
10:00-11:30 a.m: Martha and Mary Group normally at the
Vicarage, a women's group for sharing,
support, encouragement and learning together from the
Bible. 12:30-3:30 p.m: Good Companions at St Thomas's, a club for people aged 60 or over. Starts at 12.30 for lunch (please ring 211993 to book) followed by a varied programme from 2:00-3:30. 8:00 p.m: Music practice at St Martin's. |
