St Martin's and St Thomas's, Cambridge

What sort of church are we?

We are an Anglican church, in the Diocese of Ely.

Our worship is informal, in modern English, and takes place in a modern (1961) building. In our music we try to maintain a balance and aim to include the best of the old and the new.

We are an evangelical church. This means that the Bible is our ultimate authority in spiritual matters, and we depend for our salvation on what Jesus has done for us in his death and resurrection. We are a member of the Evangelical Alliance.

We are involved in the local community, running a centre for the elderly and supporting adults with learning difficulties.

We are part of 'Romsey Town Churches', with St Philip's and Mill Road Baptist Church and have two or three joint services every year.

We provide teaching for all age groups.

We run, with St Philip's and Mill Road Baptist Church, an Alpha course to give people an opportunity to explore the Christian faith (contact the clergy if interested).

We are committed to sending out people to serve the church overseas, and to supporting them by prayer and giving.
