The Assistant Priest at Great St Mary's is The Revd Kerry Ramsay.
Kerry was born in Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia), where she went to primary school. She moved to South Africa, where she went to high school and then trained as a teacher. She taught for ten years in a primary school before training for the ministry at St Paul's Theological College, Durban, and Westcott House, Cambridge. She was made deacon in the Cathedral of the Nativity, Pietermaritzburg, Kwa-Zulu Natal, and was ordained as a priest in Southwark Cathedral in 1996.
Kerry spent one year in a parish in a suburb of Durban and was then curate at St Luke's with Holy Trinity in Charlton, south-east London -- an urban priority area not far from Charlton Athletic Football Club -- before coming to us in July 1999.
Kerry was our curate until in 2001 she was appointed to spend half her time as Director of the Michaelhouse Project, whereon she became Assistant Priest instead of Curate.
