The Guild of Servers has continued to play a valuable role in the liturgical life of Great St Mary's during the year. Teams have been provided every Sunday and on all Festivals whether one server or more were required. Although more servers are still required, it is now possible to provide the full complement of four servers on most Sundays.
Manual for Servers has been compiled. The Manual is in two sections: the first `General Information' put together originally by Sheila Cameron as part of a Reader training course, and the second `Serving at Great St Mary's' written by myself with the assistance and advice of Sheila, Sue Joyce, Janet Ferguson and Catherine Smart. Intended as a working tool, all servers receive a copy, and it is hoped that it will eventually be of interest to others outside the confines of Great St Mary's.
My many thanks to all who have, through their dedication and enthusiasm, enabled the Guild to enrich the quality of worship at Great St Mary's during the year.
