Harlton Church Organ Appeal

We are about to approach several Trusts and organisations to raise funds to close the gap between the £50,000 so generously given by Manfred Hebblethwaite's family and the total cost involved in this project which is estimated to be £120,000..

The brochure (Download - see note at bottom of this page) explains in some detail what is involved in the project, for which we now have all the necessary planning permissions. We thought you might be interested to receive this information in any case, but if you would like to contribute - or have friends or business associates who might also like to do so - all donations will be very welcome.

The funds to enable the restoration have now been raised and  work should begin in the spring of 2007.

* A donation direct to Derek Tombs, the Appeal Director (cheques to Harlton Church Organ Fund). We are a Registered Charity.
Forms for Gift Aid are available if you pay income tax.

* Many employers and organisations are prepared to sponsor charitable causes. If you would like to approach them, or put us in touch with them, we shall be pleased to assist and provide further information as required.

* How about contributing an organ pipe? There will be 1056 to choose from, varying in cost from £5 to £250! We could arrange for you to come and hear (or even play!) it when the organ is completed.

Contact Leon Lovett for more details - pipes available for sponsorship from a few inches long to '32 feet'.

* For those individual benefactors who would like to make a substantial donation (perhaps in commemoration of someone) an appropriate form of recognition or acknowledgement could be arranged. The Appeal Director will be pleased to discuss this suggestion with you.

We shall be very pleased and grateful to acknowledge all donations.
Further enquiries will be welcome.
