The Revd Andy Chrich

Before taking up his post as Vicar of Trumpington on 9th September 2009, the Revd Andy Chrich was Rector of a group of three parishes (twelve villages and five churches) in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. He is married to Jo and they have a daughter Anna aged 10 and a son Oliver aged 8. Andy read Geography at Girton College, Cambridge before training for ministry at St. John’s College, Durham. He served his curacy in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire and was Chaplain of Trinity College, Cambridge for five years before heading to the Dales.He is delighted to be appointed as Vicar of Trumpington and is looking forward to getting to know the community and working to grow the church in its ministry and contribution to Trumpington life.Andy is a fan of all sports and a keen supporter of Nottingham Forest FC. He enjoys singing and listening to music, playing 5-a-side football or golf and walking Nelson, his black Labrador.
Jo is also ordained and has an English degree from Queens’ College, Cambridge. She has previously been curate in Amersham, Buckinghamshire and Chaplain of Girton College. Jo is a qualified teacher, currently teaching Spirituality for the Bradford School of Ministry and also has a home tutoring business offering tuition in English and Mathematics. She enjoys all things arty, swimming and reading. Jo is keen to continue with home tutoring (new pupils welcome!) whilst beginning to train in counselling and psychotherapy.
