Common Worship
Common Worship contains the services and prayers which are available for use in the Church of England alongside the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. Almost all the churches within the dicoese use these as the main basis for their daily and weekly worship.
Most of the Common Worship services are in a modern idiom, with lively images that seek to connect the Biblical tradition with people's own experiences. A key concept is that of the Christian life as a journey – one in which those as yet uncommitted to the faith are also invited to join.
The Church of England has published texts of Common Worship liturgical material on its web site.
